Crocker Springs Ranch

The 3,300-acre Crocker Springs Ranch, located in the heart of the Flint Hills, has been listed by sale for $8.58 million.

A “crown jewel ranch” of the Flint Hills has been listed for sale for $8.58 million. The 3,300-acre property known as the Crocker Springs Ranch is located in the heart of the original 140-million acre tallgrass prairie. Of the original prairie, less than 6 million acres remain.

The Crocker Springs Ranch is located approximately 70 miles northeast of Wichita. Once the home to grazing bison, two miles of the 48-mile Flint Hills National Scenic Byway now pass through the property.

There are three pastures. One is located east of the Byway and two to the west.

The 11,000-acre Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is just five miles north on the Flint Hills National Scenic Byway.

The property has been listed by Bill Haw, who served president and chief executive officer of National Farms Inc. from 1974 to 2002. Haw is now the CEO and owner of the Livestock Exchange building in Kansas City and a real estate developer.

The ranch does not have any buildings but the listing states it does have shipping pens on the property.
