Brenda Clemens of rural Parsons, Kansas recently joined Farm Talk Newspaper in the advertising sales department.
She fills a position that was held previously by Kevin Kite for 15 years.
Clemens, who was born and raised in Parsons, recently returned to the area after living in Texas for 23 years.
While in Texas she owned and operated several western stores as well as an Equine Rehabilitation Center.
Clemens also worked as the advertising manager for Post-Newsweek, a division of the Washington Post.
She made the decision to move back to the area in 2004 to restore her family farm.
In her new position at Farm Talk, Clemens will be responsible for selling advertising in northeast Oklahoma and eastern Kansas.
“I’m happy to be here at Farm Talk,” Clemens explains. “The paper is a good product that is valuable to readers and advertisers alike.”
According to Farm Talk Advertising Manager, Lance Markley, Clemens is a welcomed addition to the staff.
“Brenda’s agricultural background, coupled with her strong history of sales experience makes her ideal for this position,” Markley explains.
He continues. “We are very happy to have her join our group.”
