by Mark Parker

10. The seed corn bags are empty, the rats are fat and not a one of them has Rhizoctonia.

9. There is just no way on God’s green earth that your wife will ever, ever set foot in that barn again.

8. When you flip on the light first thing in the morning, the rats just turn around and stare at you.

7. You open up a parts drawer and realize that your neighbor really doesn’t have your socket set, crowbar, grease gun and tractor operator’s manual which now closely resembles confetti.

6. They gang up on, and kick the tar out of, a possum

5. All the wiring in the barn, well actually, there isn’t any wiring in the barn.

4. The cats are afraid to go inside.

3. All the nests you find appear to be duplexes.

2.You grab a ball of baling twine and it disintegrates in your hands.

1. After having a mouse run up your pants leg, you find you can still dance after all.
