The Ozarks' biggest agricultural event is the Ozark Fall Farmfest. Over the past 27 years, the Farmfest has grown into one of the best farm and ranch trade shows in the country. Co-sponsored by the Missouri Entertainment & Event Center, over 45,000 farm and ranch folks come to the Missouri Entertainment & Event Center (formerly the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds) in Springfield, Mo., each year to see more than 750 farm-related exhibits and more than 500 head of registered livestock.
The Farmfest is held the first Friday, Saturday, & Sunday of October and has become the place for farmers and ranchers to shop for a wide variety of agricultural equipment. With a top-flight facility, the Farmfest offers inside and outside booth spaces for a wide range of products. The event also includes a Rural Living Area with products for the home. The Farmfest's unique live animal exhibits are dominated by some of the area's finest purebred cattle but there are also several breeds of horses, goats, sheep, swine and exotic species on display.
The 2007 Ozark Fall Farmfest will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 5, 6, & 7.
