The 2007 Four State Farm Show is off and running on a fast track with exhibit space filling up at a record pace.

Set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 20, 21 and 22, just south of Pittsburg, Kan., the area’s premier agricultural event heads into its 33rd year with interest from new and veteran exhibitors running high.

“The Four State Farm Show has been selling out and this year it’s selling out faster than ever,” explains Farm Show Coordinator Ted Gum. “The Show has become a tradition in the agricultural community and we’re working to provide opportunities for exhibitors but, at this point, space is extremely limited.”

The 25-acre Farm Show site will over-flow with a vast array of farm equipment, seed, feed, agri-chemicals, livestock, farm buildings, grain and feed bins, livestock handling equipment, tires, tools, trailers and much more. The tremendous ranges of agriculturally-related goods and services annually provides farmers and stockmen with a unique opportunity to shop and compare in one location. With its reputation as a “selling” Show, the Four State Farm Show has also become an economic opportunity as producers have come to rely on it as a place for special pricing and wide selection.

“This show has provided a connection between farmers and the agribusinesses that provide the products farmers need,” Gum adds. “This July 20, 21 and 22, that tradition will continue plenty for area agricultural producers to come out and see.”

In addition to acre after acre of farm implements and other agricultural items, the Four State Farm Show is a great place to see equipment in action. Forage producers will have an opportunity to compare big round balers, mowers, rakes and other bale handling equipment operating under field conditions in the Show’s daily Hay Demonstrations.

Producers interested in the latest in precision agriculture technology will be able to experience operating a variety of GPS-based tools and equipment.

There will also be a Riding Lawn Mower Test Driving Range which will give area farm and ranch families the opportunity to check out several makes and models.

Farm Show visitors can tour Kansas State University’s Roundup Ready Soybean Variety Performance Plots and a Short Season Corn Hybrid Plot. K-State personnel will also be on hand to answer questions.

Parking and admission are free at the Four State Farm Show. Show hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
