It’s a new year and a new celebration of the Parsons Katy Days. We’re gearing up for the All Horse Parade on Saturday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. We always have a great line-up of entries and lots of good food.

If you come on Friday evening we offer a free hamburger cookout for all participants at Marvel Park (the staging area for the parade). There is camping available there on first come, first served basis. New this year we will have cowboy church after dinner, brought to you by the Risen Ranch from Carthage, Mo. Then the evening entertainment will be provided in the adjacent Forest Park.

We also serve lunch after the parade to all of the entrants and cash awards will be presented for Best of Show, Most Authentic Rig, Best Matched Team, Best Riding Group, and Best Dressed Entry. If you wish to be in the judging please have your rig in the staging area and ready to show by 12 p.m. And we ask that you please be on time whether you have entered the judged contest or not.

We also give a $10 gift certificate for gas at our local Pumpin’ Pete’s (with a fill-up). And don’t forget we need to see a negative Coggins test for each horse you are entering.
