A family Christmas celebration in Parsons, Kan.

CNHI

Parsons, Kansas — Jimmy Fortune and T. Graham Brown along with The Vogts Sisters will join together for an evening of great Gospel, Christian and Classic Country favorites Saturday, December 8, 7:30 p.m. at the Parsons Municipal Auditorium, 112 S 17th, Parsons, Kan.

Jimmy Fortune sang tenor for the Statler Brothers for 21 years. He joined them in 1982 when only 27 years old as a replacement for the ailing Lew Dewitt, and joined the group permanently when Dewitt was unable to return to the stage. Fortune wrote several of the number one songs that were recorded by the Statler Brothers, including Elizabeth, Too Much On My Heart, My Only Love, and More Than A Name On The Wall.

Jimmy has performed in all 50 U.S States, in Canadian Provinces, and in front of audiences as large as 100,000. He was part of the Statler's annual Happy Birthday USA celebration in Staunton, Va., for 14 years. Jimmy's career included The Nashville Network's popular "The Statler Brothers Show" which aired for seven seasons and was the highest rated show for the network. Jimmy was privileged to perform at the White House on two occasions, once for President Ronald Reagan, and once for George H. W. Bush. He also presented a special gift to actress Elizabeth Taylor by singing his song "Elizabeth" to her for a birthday celebration.

Jimmy spent 21 years touring, singing, and performing with the Statlers until Don, Harold and Phil, the other three members of the group retired in 2002. Jimmy along with the Statlers were inducted into The Gospel Music Hall Of Fame in 2007, and The Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2009. Since then he has been on an extensive performance schedule in the U.S. and Canada, has continued as a songwriter, working on a number of projects in Nashville, and has recorded five solo albums. The personable Fortune has a loyal cadre of fans and his unmistakable tenor voice is known worldwide.

T. Graham Brown, born Anthony Graham Brown in Atlanta, Ga., made the move to Nashville in the early 80s to follow his dreams and the rest is music history. T has 21 charting singles as well as several No. 1 and top 10 hits. Brown continues to tour and record vigorously. Based on all of the positive comments on YouTube, his #1 hit on the Christian charts, "Wine into Water" has helped thousands around the world struggling with addiction.

Fans may have seen him lately on RFD TV's Country Family Reunion as well as Larry's Country Diner. T has recorded and toured with all the greats including George Jones and Kenny Rogers. His latest collaboration is a 100 percent charity Gospel album titled "Working on a Building". The album features Jimmy Fortune, Glen Campbell, Alan Jackson, Marty Raybon, Jason Crabb, Aaron Tippin and Trace Adkins. The album was created to support International Cooperative Ministries, a non-profit foundation that has constructed nearly 4,000 churches, orphanages, and schools in more than 50 countries worldwide.

The Vogts Sisters, Abbey and Maggie’s love for music began in church and at family gatherings listening to old time cowboy ballads and country tunes. That love for music grew into a genuine admiration for Bluegrass, Folk and rural American music. The Vogts Sisters amazing harmonies and heart felt emotion are wowing audiences wherever they sing. There debut album, "Old Time Noise" was released in November and features some beautiful original songs, penned by Maggie.
